What should I look for when choosing a moving company?
A reliable mover should have a physical office, be licensed, and carry proper insurance. Avoid newly established movers without a proven track record, as they may lack the experience—or worse, be untrustworthy. Don’t hesitate to ask for references; satisfied clients are the strongest proof of great service.
Can I leave my belongings inside furniture when moving?
We recommend emptying all furniture before the move. Removing clothes and other contents from dressers, armoires, and desks reduces weight and minimizes the risk of damage. The only exceptions might be small, lightweight pieces with non-fragile contents, but it’s always best to pack everything separately for a smoother move.
Is there an extra charge for moving items like pianos?
Yes, we do charge extra for grand, baby grand and grand upright pianos.
What happens if the weather is bad on moving day?
Rain or shine, we’re committed to getting your move done. While bad weather may slightly affect timing, our movers will take extra precautions—like protecting floors and carpets—to ensure your belongings and home stay clean and safe.
Do you provide moving boxes and packing materials?
Yes! If you’re packing your own items, we can supply sturdy boxes and materials. Many of our trucks carry extras in case last-minute packing is needed. We recommend using high-quality, double-corrugated boxes instead of free boxes from stores, which are often too weak and can increase labor time.
